What is NSARDA?

The Nova Scotia Association of Regional Development Authorities (NSARDA) is the link between the Nova Scotia Regional Development Authorities’, providing support and collective strength. What is a Nova Scotia RDA?

Working in the diverse communities of Nova Scotia, the Regional Development Authorities - or RDAs - are community-based groups helping individual, community and business ventures succeed. From partnerships, to business advice, to government navigation, Nova Scotia RDAs are the first-stop in the road to successful communities.

Research suggests that RDAs are outperforming any other form of previous community economic development efforts, many times over. The Nova Scotia RDA model is recognized nationally and internationally for its grassroots approach, exemplary community governance model and its well-trained, highly-skilled economic development professionals. Our model is being adopted in other parts of Canada, and around the world.
